The strawberry perl link does not work and I can't find a working download link anywhere, is there anything else besides strawberry perl that can work for the ratings system?
The link works for me, try again at http://strawberryperl.com/
Other option is ActivePerl for Windows (http://www.activestate.com/activeperl/downloads).
Mac OS X and Linux have Perl installed by default, but then you need to make your rosters and cars visible to your Mac or Linux file system.
If you want to add this, I made a ratings calculator for NR a while back. It doesn't automatically import ratings to the game though, I'm afraid.
I did the NXS Daytona 1 ratings and they worked fine but when I try the Atlanta ratings it says "roster file not found." So I retried the Daytona files and they didn't work either. I have downloaded Windows 10 in-between the Daytona and Atlanta races so it could be that. Any solutions?
PS: Yes. I have everything right I've done it 20+ times.
I have no idea whether Win10 can cause any problems, I have not tested it on Win10.
Check if the roster file is readable by typing "more atlanta_roster.lst".
When I type in "more atlanta_roster.lst" all the files came up in that roster. But, when tried to import the ratings it did the same exact thing as it was doing. I then restarted from Step 1 and still nothing. :/
I've been a long time fan of your work and website and was curious about how you obtain your rating files. Is there a program where you input results and it spits out individual ratings? I'm working on my own ratings set and would be interested to know your method. Thanks!
Yes, it is a small script that takes the results of the race and spits out the ratings.
Is the script available for d/l somewhere?
I am not planning to upload the script. But I plan to make the same rating formula available for the new NRatings program. It needs some tweaking though.
I once published similar custom formula for previous version of NRatings (see http://nnracing.com/filelibrary.asp?fileid=73413), I am not sure though that this will work with the new version.
