NRATINGS FORMULA

My add-on formula for NRatings 5 software.
This formula file generates almost the same ratings as scripts shown above.

dooper_ratings ver. 3.5

Copy the file into your NRatings folder (C:/Users/USERNAME/My Documents/NRatings/MyFormulas/).

RATINGS FOR DOWNLOAD

Here is a Perl script that takes driver ratings from a text file and updates .car files.

NB! The script overwrites .car files!
Although I have tested it on my own system for couple of weeks, I cannot guarantee that some weird things happen on other computers. BACK UP YOUR CAR FILES BEFORE USING THE SCRIPT!

Ratings of all drivers for all races from the 2015 season are below. These are based on the results shown at the http://racing-reference.info/ and should replicate the real race results as closely as possible. The ratings are in text files so you can edit the values of each driver manually.

2015-07-25     VERSION 1.0      nr2003_ratings.pl

2015-07-30     VERSION 1.3      nr2003_ratings_1.3.pl

instructions

Picture
1. Download Strawberry Perl from this page and
install it on your computer.

2. Download the nr2003_ratings_1.4.pl and one or more rating files (at the end of this page). Copy the files to the folder where your cars and rosters are. This is typically something like C:\Papyrus\NASCAR Racing 2003 Season\series\BR15\cars\

Picture
3. Open Windows Command Prompt (select Run and type cmd.exe) and change the working folder to your 'cars' folder (instructions here).

You can pin the Command Prompt window to the taskbar and ...

Picture
... define your 'cars' folder as default
starting folder, to make the process easier in future.
For this, right click the command prompt icon and click 'Properties' ...

Picture
... After clicking 'Properties' find the box 'Start in:' and paste the path of your 'cars' folder there.

4. Once you are in the folder where your cars and rosters are, you need to execute the script and give it two arguments:  name of the roster file and name of the ratings file.

For example:
perl nr2003_ratings_1.4.pl  daytona2.lst ratings.w-2015-17.daytona.txt

5. If your roster contains all the 43 drivers who raced in given race, you should get the following message almost instantly.
